2006 Mazda Rx-8

This project involved restoring a 2006 Mazda RX-8, known for its iconic Wankel rotary engine—which also happened to be the car's main issue. The engine suffered from low compression and wouldn't start.

The repairs consisted of changing both the apex and side seals on both of the rotors. Unfortunately, I didn’t document the teardown and repair of the engine. After reassembling everything, I successfully achieved 120 psi of compression in both combustion chambers.
